How to configure a proxy for a browser#

Overview#

The proxy configuration feature allows you to bind an independent network exit to a designated browser environment, so the environment accesses the internet through the specified proxy.

This feature is useful if you are facing any of the following:

  • Different stores targeting different countries or regions
  • Multiple accounts needing different network environments
  • Want to bind accounts to a fixed network exit long-term
  • Need to simulate access environments from specific regions

By configuring a proxy for each browser environment, you can give each environment independent and stable network conditions, enabling clearer and more controllable multi-account management.

Step-by-step Instructions#

1. Add a Proxy#

Go to 「Proxy Management」 in the left menu, click “New”.

In the new proxy popup, select the proxy type.

Fill in the proxy information: host, port, and username/password (if applicable).

After filling in, click “Check Network” to test if the proxy connects properly.

Save after confirming it’s working.

3. Verify the Proxy is Working#

After saving, launch the browser environment and visit an IP lookup website to confirm the displayed IP matches the bound proxy.

FAQ#

1. Can one proxy be bound to multiple browser environments? Not recommended. One browser environment binding one independent proxy is cleaner and more stable.

2. Can I switch the proxy while the browser is running? Not recommended. It’s safer to modify the proxy after closing the browser environment.

3. What if the proxy test succeeds but access is slow? This could be due to proxy line quality or network fluctuations. Try switching to a more stable proxy resource or configuring a local acceleration proxy.

4. How should I choose the proxy region? Generally, choose a country or region that matches your account’s or store’s target market to maintain long-term network stability.
